ARLINGTON TEXAS TATTOO ARTISTS

First and foremost...the artists change shops a lot here...however, there are a lot of good artist.

Woody at Funhouse Tattoo is one of the more experienced artists in Arlington, Texas.  He so-owns and tattoos out of Funhouse off Collins and Mayfield.
Woody has been slinging ink for over 10 years and has worked at Tigger's Tattoo in Dallas.  He is a family man and strong christian.  He has a large family and is strong in his belief, but one not to press his lifestyle on anyone.  Very Friendly and Extremely relaxed shop and atmosphere.

Cole and Corey currently tattoo out of his shop.  He also have a piercer...Amanda...who is an up and coming artist herself.  Corey has some solid work is a good artist.  Cole is a year into his career and has a unique talent.

Ya never know who is going to be in the shop...from names in the industry with flash and other artists...to current NFL players.  Ya just never know who ya will run into there.  One current Cowboy calls Woody his personal Tattoo Artist.

Check em out and mention ya read about them here.

Chosen One Tattoo in Arlington recently celebrated 1 year in April 2011.  They have some good artist who are becoming established.

Chaos, Dozer, and Xander are at the shop to discuss what ya are looking for.  Dozer does more original work.  Chaos can copy just bout anything ya bring in as well as flash...is starting to do more original work.
Xander is just starting out with less than a year experience but has some skill.

Brad at Hell Bent Tattoo is another artist to check out.  I have a tendency to like my tattoo artists tattooed themselves head to toe.  Brad does not disappoint.  Even has his eyelids inked...my kind of artist.  Has a diverse portfolio and is easy to talk to and discuss what ya want.

I have checked out a lot of different shops in the Arlington, Texas area....and right now these are the 3 I recommend.

Other shops that I would consider ink at...Studio 77, 360 Blues and Tattoos, and Stone's Tattoo.

GALVESTON TEXAS TATTOO ARTISTS

If ya ever find yourself in Galveston, Texas, and have the desire to get inked...stop by
GALVESTON TATTOO CORNER off 61st Street.

Greg Votaw is the owner and one of the featured artist there.  Chano is also a featured artist there.

Greg has been slinging ink for over 10 years.  He started in South California and has worked with Gil Monte.
He moved to Beaumont about 5 years ago and then opened shop in Galveston Texas in 2008.  Galveston Tattoo Corner was bout 1 month old when Hurricane IKE hit the island flooding the shop.  Greg quickly cleaned up and opened back up.  Since then he has established himself on the island as one of the best shops in Galveston.

Greg has since married a wonderful woman he met at the shop.  He has a daughter from a previous relationship...and she is growing like wildfire.  Very dedicated to his family and the business...he is passionate bout his work and it shows.  Greg is very laid back and very versatile as an artist.  Great Ink and Great Customer service for both the pro and the newbe.

Chano is an island legend...if ya have been on the island for any amount of time...most will tell you Chano is the one to go to.  Chano has been slinging ink for 10 years plus and a lot of people on the island have been inked by Chano.  I have even met people in DFW area who have ink from Chano.

GALVESTON TATTOO CORNER IS THE PLACE TO GO FOR YOUR INK!

On that note...another shop that is considered a staple on the island years wise...is Body Language off the Seawall.  Sally owns the shop and is very friendly.  She pierces and also does permanant makeup.  She also has done some work for survivors of burns and accidents.
BUCK is an artist out of there that is very good and has owned his own shop in the past in Houston, Texas.
Def an artist to check out.

I have had work from Greg, Chano, and Buck.  I also have had artists that have tattooed me in both shops that have moved around.  Either way...Im a big fan of Galveston INK and appreciate the artists there.
